Hennie Gerber

Hennie Gerber is a Statistician and has been a member of the South African Statistical Association (SASA) since 1996.He began his career at the Agricultural Research Council (ARC),where he provided consultation services to various researchers in the biological sciences. He has since completed his Master's degree in Statistics.

In 2000, he transitioned to the academic sector where he provided consultation services to Master's and Doctoral students as well as lecturers on academic articles at the University of South Africa. From 2006 to 2007, he also taught at the Department of Statistics at the same university, developing a new Honours course in Statistics and authoring a few chapters in the book "Marketing Research" by Wiid and Diggines,which is now in its 4th Edition.

Starting in 2008, Hennie began creating and delivering workshops for the quantitative research approach at various universities, including Joint Minds consulting (at Botswana University and various tertiary institutions in Botswana), the University of South Africa (in various departments), Monash SA, Vaaldriehoek University of Technology {VUT},the University of the Free State {UFS},and the University of Pretoria.

He has also provided consultation services for various  private sector companies  since 2008, including Nexia SAB&T, SMEC, Stratalyze, and MEMEZA. Hennie has served as an external examiner for the Honours Statistics course"Regression  Analysis"  at the University  of Pretoria, as well as an external examiner  for the course "Critical Business Skills" at Wits Business School. He was also utilized  as a quantitative expert on the Ethics Committee of UNISA Business School {SBL).

Since 2019, Hennie has been a part-time lecturer of the third-year subject "Research and Statistical Methods" at the Afrikaanse Protestantse Akademie in Pretoria.

He has extensive experience using various statistical packages, including SAS, SAS JMP, SPSS, and R.
